Where the Goddess Wanders

The teacher said it softly, with love and certainty:
“You have a goddess inside you. You can be anything you want.”
The little girl believed him.
And with that belief, a goddess slowly took shape.

A prince arrived one day,
showering her with affection,
calling himself blessed to have found a goddess like her.
The young girl blossomed under that sunlight,
and the goddess in her lifted her head with pride.

Then came the day he said there was no love
and wondered who she would be without him.
The woman in her broke.
But the goddess in her rose, fierce and steady,
and took back the reins of her life.

Love appeared again, unexpectedly,
a love wrapped in poetic sadness.
The girl within her returned, hopeful,
and the goddess danced in quiet, divine delight.

But this lover too said he was unworthy,
that she was a goddess, and he was ordinary.
The girl in her fell silent,
and the goddess sighed, collected her strength,
and went back to work.

Now, She walks the world untethered, not searching for love,
but carrying it within her.
The girl glows softly, the woman strides bravely.
And the goddess finally wanders free, belonging to no one,
and to herself completely.
